"Tuned our baby grand piano. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about our piano and what needed to be done for tuning and adjustments.
I inherited this piano which was built in 1921. The last major work that was done on it was in 1959. It needed new strings, tuning pins, felts, repetitions, shanks, and flanges. He cleaned the soundboard, refinished the damper heads, and did complete action and damper regulation.
Of course, he tuned the piano several times after this work was done. This work took much longer than I expected. He worked on it periodically from September 2013 to February 2014.
My only suggestion would be that, if a substantial amount of work needs to be done, there should be an initial understanding as to the approximate length of time necessary to complete it."
